We help women in perimenopause and menopause make sense of their symptoms, understand what’s really going on, and find the support they’ve been missing.
Helping women in perimenopause and menopause stop white-knuckling through their symptoms and start building a body that works with them, not against them.
Real transformation doesn't require 5am routines or meal prep Sundays. It requires the right support, sustainable habits, and a framework that actually fits your life.
Your health is the one asset you'll own forever. It deserves to be treated that way.
Your body isn't broken. It's just asking for something different.
Megan, Owner & Founder, Threshold
I spent 25 years building a career in tech, and the last 15+ years working remotely, chasing promotions, saying yes to everything, and convincing myself I'd focus on my health and fix my stress levels "once things settled down." Spoiler: things never settled down.
The changes were gradual. A few pounds here. Less energy there.
And then in the spring & summer of 2024, I remember it well: random bouts of crying for no good reason. The almost crushing stress, paralysis of thought, brain just refusing to, ya know, think (fairly important), loss of words during important presentations (yeah, THAT was super fun). Hot flashes, night sweats (both of which I thought were stress-induced - nope (or mostly nope)).
I’d chalked it up to a very stressful time in my work life (that’s a whole ‘nother story). I even RESIGNED from my Silicon Valley job to take a break and recalibrate, 100% blaming stress.
And of course my gynecologist never took the time to truly listen to me, to recommend anything useful other than maybe I should look for a less stressful job (duh). Nothing.
Instead she offered to put me on yet another birth control pill, saying that that would fix it. After being on one version or another of the pill for way too long, I declined. Time after time. And would leave my appointments feeling completely hopeless.
Oh, if I’d known then what I know now… I wish I could go back and hug that slightly younger version of myself, and tell her to hold on, and that there was help available. But looking back, I don’t think there really was much help available - at least not the right kind of help.
The Turning Point
Due to a series of very fortunate events, in Oct. 2025 I began my studies in The Institute for Menstrual Health’s Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program. This is an intense, comprehensive 9-month certification program that covers every aspect of women’s hormone health, from puberty through menopause. While I was already trained as a health coach, in August/September of 2025 I felt like there was a gap in my area of expertise in regards to women’s hormone health. The average age of my female client is definitely in that perimenopausal age range, and I knew it would be covered in the program. Ironically enough, at that time I was swearing that I’d EVENTUALLY need this information for myself, like a few years down the road, having no clue that I was already well into the thick of it. I decided to be my own guinea pig while getting certified. I got back to tracking my hormones via the Mira device (have used on & off for years for cycle tracking, highly recommend it), and consequently, on a sunny day in October, 2025, I was told by THE hormone expert at Mira that I was in late-stage perimenopause and may never ovulate again (that’s a story for another day). Those words brought my world to a screeching halt. They changed everything for me in an instant. I hadn’t been experiencing all of my symptoms due only to stress (though that definitely didn’t help matters). The hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, brain fog, feeling completely crazy at times, all the things I’d been experiencing for the last 2+ years - they were symptoms of perimenopause. And I’d had no idea.
I legit I went through a mini-version of all 12 stages of grief that day. And the emotions still come up at the most random times - more often than not, anger rears its ugly head when I remember my encounters with my gyno and other doctors, and feelings of frustration, fatigue, hopelessness, not knowing where to turn.
The Transformation
The time since I enrolled in the IMH course + found out what was ACTUALLY going on with myself and my hormones has flown by, and I’ve learned so, so much.
And I’m so happy (happy doesn’t even cover it) that I’m able to offer my friends, family, clients, internet strangers-soon-to-be-friends the support, community, resources, and help that they truly need.
No longer do we have to suffer. We can finally get back to who we used to be, but even better versions now.
WHY I BECAME A COACH & Founded Threshold
Here's what I know about you:
You're reading this because my story is your story, or your sister’s/mom’s/friend’s story. You’re reading this for a reason.
I became a health coach and founded Threshold, focusing on women in perimenopause & menopause because I understand exactly what you're going through. Not from textbooks. From living it. Intimately.
I know what it's like to feel like your body is working against you. To keep pushing through when everything in you is asking you to slow down. To wonder if this is just what getting older feels like, and to have a nagging sense that it shouldn't have to be.
It doesn't have to be.
The methodology I developed isn't about meal plans and workout schedules. It's about reclaiming yourself through a targeted, systematic approach, highly customized for you and you alone.
It’s about becoming the woman who is armed with the tools, resources, support, and network of help during this ever-changing time in her life.

MY PHILOSOPHY
Your health is the one asset you'll own forever. Not your job, not your house, not your savings account. Your body is with you for life, and this transition you're in right now is one of the most important reasons to start investing in it.
The Futureproof Framework (my signature methodology) isn't about learning more information.
It's about finally giving yourself the priority you've been giving everything else.
READY TO WORK TOGETHER?
You already know something needs to change. You've known for a while. The question isn't what or even how.
The question is when?
How many more mornings of waking up exhausted, of pushing through the fog? Your body has been raising its hand for a while now.
